Not using Curl to twitter?

I am trying to not use curl in a Perl script to send automatic updates to twitter, but without luck yet. I have downloaded the libraries Net::twitter and Net::twitter:Lite and I have problems using both of them. Too many unresolved dependencies. And I am not so good installing Perl Libraries....

Maybe I am blind right now, because I am starving... ;) I will update shortly.
